Your data, your call
Your trust is the whole point. Here’s exactly what we collect, why, and the control you keep — in plain language, not fine print. We never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account basics — your email, a username you choose (this is your public name), and a password.
- To take payment — your legal name and billing address as they appear on your card, handled through a payment processor. We don’t store full card numbers.
- Only if you choose to share them — your postal address, phone number, and which kinds of messages you’d like.
- How you use the site — what you watch, read, and buy, so your library works.
Why we collect it
- To run your membership and deliver what you buy.
- To send you only the things you’ve opted into — postal mail, texts, or email.
- To make Theory Underground better.
Your consent, your choices
- Sharing your postal address, phone, or message preferences is always optional and never pre-checked. Each is a separate choice, and we record when and to what you agreed.
- Change any of it anytime from your profile.
- Text STOP to end texts; every marketing email has an unsubscribe link; turn off postal mail whenever you like.
How we protect it
- Access to your personal details is limited to what’s needed to run TU.
- We never put personal data in links or on public pages.
- Your legal name and billing details stay private — only the username you choose is ever public.
Your rights
This is our plain-language commitment and a working draft — we’ll keep it current as Theory Underground grows. It isn’t legal advice; we’ll have it reviewed before anything binding.
